"It has been a joy and a privilege to select for the exhibition „Cheers‟, the first group exhibition of Chinese students and artists currently working in the UK.
Looking through the works it was heartening to see a broad range of styles, approaches that exhibit the influence and education from both diverse cultures. It is interesting to wonder how current British art school teaching has informed their work of the students and the influence they have had on their peers. Lets hope there is a strong cultural exchange. With exhibitions like „Cheers‟ this can only help this dialogue.
With the emergence of China I hope this exhibition marks the beginning of an annual exchange and celebration of young Chinese art."

The Fine Art selection for the Ch_ers :) 2009 exhibition contains accomplished works in sculpture, painting, print and drawing. The works on display have been made with meticulous attention to detail, and all are informed by a thoughtfulness and dedication to the subject. Combined they convey a dynamic and urgency. The considerable creative energy and talent inherent within young Chinese Art and Design is a force to be reckoned with.

Cheers展第一次为在英国的年轻华人艺术家和设计师提供了一个展示他们的天赋和成绩的舞台。通过这次展览，我们看到了很多在英学习的年轻华人艺术家和设计师的作品，有些作品虽然青涩，但充满了活力和创意。我相信这次展览里的一些年轻艺术家日后会成为中国设计界和艺术界的中流砥柱。
